Father’s Day 2022
Dad’s Day off at Del Mar Highlands Town Center
Don’t forget: Sunday, June 19 is Father’s Day
Make a day of it with delicious eats, craft brews, good reads, and movies down memory lane.
Father’s Day is approaching, and Del Mar Highlands Town Center has everything you need for a celebration that reflects your gratitude and boasts experiences that will make this day as unique as he is!
Whether it’s a Texas Brisket Egg Sandwich or an Everything Bagel and a side of cream cheese, you’re sure to start Dad’s morning off right with breakfast in bed from Einstein Bros! Tip: You can order ahead on their website or mobile app!
After breakfast, it’s time to open presents from Vuori, a clothing company specializing in quality, comfort, and style – just like your Dad! Vuori carries the perfect gift for various outdoor interests, from boardshorts to golf polos to running joggers.
For the book-reading Dad, head over to Diesel, A Bookstore and gift a riveting Sci-Fi novel from Dad’s favorite childhood memories or a board book best seller, I Love My Daddy Because… a perfect gift for the kids to read with Dad.
As lunchtime hunger strikes, pick up his favorite Peruvian Steak Sandwich or Vegan Banh Mi from Mendocino Farms that has all the soups, salads, sandwiches, and sides your family could ask for (with vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options). If Dad is still full from breakfast, grab something lighter instead. A Berry Banana Burst Smoothie or a Protein Power Bowl from Nekter will provide all the energy needed to fuel Dad on his day off.
To continue the day of fun, Dad is ready to kick up his feet and enjoy the latest movie release. He can share popcorn and stories of his yesteryears from the comfort of the Cinépolis cinema. Coincidentally enough, two options are new renditions of films from many Dads’ childhoods – currently in-theatre: Jurassic World: Dominion and Top Gun: Maverick.
Once the credits are displayed on the screen, walk over to Sky Deck, where he can pick from an array of cuisines from across the globe. Sky Deck offers Greek, Italian, Thai, Mexican, Modern American, Asian Fusion, and Japanese eats for any craving he may have. To pair with his dinner, he can order a beverage from the central cocktail bar Understory or from one of their top San Diego craft beer and Kombucha Brands: Northern Pine Brewing, or Rough Draft Brewing Company, and Boochcraft.
After dinner, finish the night with something sweet; grab freshly baked French pastries and macarons from Le Parfait Paris or head over to Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream for a selection of over 175 different flavors!
Whatever you do, make sure to take advantage of Dad’s day off at Del Mar Highlands Town Center!
